  1. Hi guys, one more needed. We have: Myself Cornerz CommuterJoe
  2. Yes I am. I'm still waiting for my MTB to arrive so not in a mad rush but I'm ready to go as soon as we have a group of 4
  3. Good choice, it's a brilliant bike
  4. I had a feeling that was settled quietly out of court. Reading the article it seems it's ongoing.
  5. I had severe pain in my right sit bone and tried 5/6/7 saddles. After a saddle fit at The Gear Change we dropped my seat by 15mm. Now ALL the saddles in my collection are comfortable!
  6. The units aren't manufactured in the UK so they also have shipping costs. They also have 20‰ vat so they should at least be the same price here. I always buy off amazon.co.uk when I'm there... rip off prices over here
  7. I saw 5 guys on that banking by the bridge. They looked like trouble but luckily the cops were parked close by. I would say avoid at all costs
  8. I rode through there on Friday by myself (I was looking for trouble!).There were 2 law enforcement cars parked up and one drove through past me... but I wouldn't recommend it unless you are armed.
  9. Some very dramatic queens here. Why would you ditch your garmin unit? Why would the price of units tank? So what if someone gets hold of my data file... who cares that it takes me 5 minutes to go up a hill?
  10. You do know they sell it over here for approx R400
  11. For personal tracking WhatsApps live location is easy for people to see where you are. I wouldn't mind a tracking device hidden in my bike frame to locate my bike and (more importantly) the thieves who stole it
  12. Sorry to hear about this. Very happy to hear you're OK though.
  13. I'm sorry but one look at the website tells me it hasn't been updated in a loooong time... but yeah, opening up late... I wouldn't have waited/bothered.
  14. Glad to hear it wasn't the bike, I'm waiting for mine to arrive. Luckily I'm assembling it myself.
  15. Bike thieves in SA are amateurs, at best they will force a badly secured garage door open or steal off a car rack. In the UK they arrive with battery operated angle grinders. Don't always assume the grass is greener Edit: on the other hand you are less likely to be held up at gun point while out on a ride!
  16. I remember back in the day my girlfriend didn't want my bike inside... I was very understanding and helped her move out!
  17. Amazon.co.uk £99 Sports W/house R3500.Forget that the exchange rate went over 20:1 recently. I bought my 520 when it was 16:1 for the same ratio. Either way, the exchange rate is not 35:1 (for now!!!)
  18. It's just a shame Garmin SA charge triple the price of amazon UK or US
  19. In the UK the police tow your car if you don't have insurance, licence or roadworthy or any number of other offences. It is crushed if it is not picked up after the offense has been rectified and storage fees have been paid.
  20. Tragic news. RIP
  21. Wow, that really is scary
  22. Nothing wrong with shorts. I have an assos bib and castelli shorts, both are great
