  1. Everything you need to know will be stated very clearly on the Qatar Airways website. It is no point telling the baggage checker that someone on bikhub had a cousin who knew somebody who flew with Qatar and said it was ok
  2. Yes, the cycling industry has gone mad https://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/zipp-2021-nsw-353-disc-wheelset
  3. A NFT can be the digital image as well as the physical 'artwork' itself. Unfortunately not the case here
  4. If you don't know how to do the basics you might have a hard time arguing with the bike shop.About 10 years ago, before I started cycling my friend told me his bike went in for a service and I was puzzled. It's soooooo simple. GCN videos cover most things very simply. Don't be scared, buy some basic tools and get stuck in. Much less effort than booking your bike in, dropping it off and picking it up.
  5. Assuming the thief has an iphone
  6. Have you tried https://switchbacksports.co.za/ They are the SA importer of Wheels Manufacturing hangers https://switchbacksports.co.za/collections/derailleur-hangers?tb-tg-brand=Colnago
  7. These guys definitely deserve recognition
  8. The best, I wouldn't go anywhere else
  9. Looks like a clean bike but it must be quite old with the external di2 battery. 24k seems expensive to me.
  10. This is important advice. A few years ago my bike fell over and bent the hanger. I bent it back when I got home. Three rides later the hanger snapped and pulled the rear derailleur round the wheel. It destroyed the derailleur and cracked the right hand side chainstay.Replace the hanger immediately
  11. Great write up. Is this an 'official' route with any signage or did you input the route into your GPS?
  12. I think I flew over your head, I was being a sarcastic w**ker because the guy giving his 2 cents worth would have difficulty wearing that suite
  13. They should rename this thread "One man who had his bike stolen Vs 500 internet lawyers who watch suites"
  14. I have only ever used Schwalbe Pro One's until now (the importers have been out of stock for 6 months). I have a Cadex on the front which is OK for the meantime. Where are the Schwalbe's weeping from?
  15. This is the video I watched 4 years ago which convinced me to go tubeless. This is my experience with Orange Seal for 4 years. Since I haven't been able to get hold of it I can tell you from personal experience that Stan's (normal and race), Sludge and Joe's (normal and road) will not seal those holes at anything over 70psi.
  16. Sealant for road and MTB are two completely different things
  17. Not true, have had a dose of regular Orange Seal in my tyres for at least 4/5 months. I normally change the tyre before the sealant dries up
  18. That's great news.I put Joe's normal sealant in my front tyre and checked what it looked like after 2 months... the tyre was completely dry inside. I had zero issues with Orange Seal balling up or drying out after 6 months. That was the case with the original formula and the endurance variant. Maybe it helps that I use the bike 3/4 times a week so it is constantly flushing around the inside of the tyre
  19. I had a chance to test Joe's road sealant this weekend. It claims to seal tyres up to 120psi... it doesn't. I pump my tyres to 80psi, I had a small 1mm staple in my tyre and it only stopped leaking air at 60psi and happily finished my ride. I topped up the sealant when I got home last night and pumped up to 80psi. I left the punctured side of the tyre facing down where all the sealant collects. Came down this morning to find the tyre at 40psi with a puddle of sealant on the floor. My claim stands, Orange Seal is the only way to go. If only it was available in SA
  20. ...ans did you at least manage to spray them enough to disable them temporarily or couldn't you see well enough
  21. Glad you're OK. I have to ask (and don't take this as a negative criticism) but didn't you think about turning around rather than go straight for them?
  22. Shimano shoes in a wide fitment are WIDE
  23. I'm pretty sure you will find details on the Giant website
  24. LOL, I hope so too!Joe's road sealant does look promising, they claim it is suitable for pressures up to 130psi!!! I don't believe that but 80psi will be just fine. I will go out and look for glass this weekend and report back
  25. I'm just kidding with you but I have used Stan's with no joy because I couldn't get Orange seal over here. Friends of mine have also used it and went back to tubes because it makes an awful mess when it sprays everywhere. Orange Seal peels of cleanly with just a finger
