    Yellow is the bomb, my view is that no-one will remember me for my riding so they may as well remember me for my bike! The only downside to the yellow is that scratches, nicks etc show up very easily so don't crash, leave it leaning up against anything metallic etc!!

    Hi Victor What is the difference between the 95km and 105km, besides an additional 10km (to pre-empt any smart a$$es). I assume there are some tough(er) climbs on the 105?

    There is a method to my madness - a lot easier to explain costs associated with MTB, need to train, upgrade etc if the other half is also into cycling. You do however run the risk that after one ride she says sod it so perhaps n+1 is the way to go!

    I took delivery of this beauty 2 months ago so I am all sorted. Been wanting to try and get the other half to try and start cycling and this will be the kick start needed! Is the Juliana in the mix?

    I have only done 2 stage races, namely Cradle Trophy (is that even a stage race) and Sani - assume this is tougher?

    Only heard cool things about this race but battling to get info as website does not seem to like me. Do all days start and end at Mankele? If not any idea as to the overnight stops? Keen to enter but would also like to try and book some accommodation as keen to bring the family along? Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated.

    On the note of tyre pressure, just got a new bike that came with: Maxxis Minion DHF Exco up front, and Maxxis Ardent race Exo on rear. I am a healthy 108kgs and do most of my riding in Jhb ie Northern Farms, Groenkloof, Thaba etc. What sort of pressures should I be looking at for that riding and would that change for Sani?

    Was there today and did my first double loop. Only my third time there so only know the route out of the car park and that first climb is ***!

    Don't think Matt Holmes (author of the letter) did himself any favours, read the comments, most of them are telling him to put on his big girl panties. Had to chuckle at the guy who suggested that "perhaps a letter to Tim Berners Lee complaining about the advent of the internet" would be more apt!

    Better than Northriding (Joeys) this morning where a motorcyclist and driver of a car went at each other. Guy on bike shot dead and driver of car rushed to hospital - not sure if shot or stabbed as news report said both were "armed". Crazy.
