  1. Which brand?
  2. If memory serves the CPA states that a warranty follows the product and not the owner. Problem is I do not think the Act is retrospective but worth checking out. Never understood how bike manufacturers could get away with that cr@p ie a warranty only applies to original owner - load of bollocks which the legislation has sorted out (for once).
  3. The question is - are you overweight?
  4. Please tell me you violently manhandled the little forkers - people can perish that way!
  5. I love gears - think I would hate cycling if I had to do it on a SS -based on my current fitness level that is.
  6. I always assumed SMW would be well priced, not a chance - bought some bombs there the other day, at least 25% more expensive than Cyclelab - who probably aren't the cheapest either
  7. Very civilised from both parties - how things should be done.
  8. Don't have time to scour the net for other info - my view is if it is not on the Hub it does not exist!
  9. Of course there would be a clause like that - that is not my point. My point is that I find it odd that this news gets broken by a sponsor as opossed to CSA, or whoever the governing body is. This statement from Nedbank raises more questions than answers - at least for me that is. What happens if it turns out to be a Chilliboy/Basson issue - Nedbank ends up looking like knobs. Rather back your rider until all the chips are on the table and if it is clear he is guilty then drop them. Then again they obviously know more than we do so one has to assume that there is no coming back from the finding!
  10. Surely a whole process should ensue before Nedbank decides to pull the plug. I would have thought they would have waited for this to go to CSA (or whoever the governing body would be) and once they state that he has doped then they terminate the sponsorship. Just seems very premature in that we get the news from a sponsor as opposed to the governing body - maybe they think if there's smoke there's fire. Not that I am a DG fan but surely due process should be followed when someone's livelihood is at stake. Wonder if Kevin is accepting cv's - I'm pretty fit at the moment - not.
  11. Well he was originally a roadie wasn't he - makes perfect sense.
  12. MTB - as some previous posts say, never know when you need to mount the pavement to take evasive action cos of some taxi, tjop motorist or group of roadies riding 8 abreast.
  13. Aren't hydration packs also a no go zone for roadies?
  14. No idea what I should be looking for? Bar tape looks too thick.
  15. I was driving through Magaliessig at about 8:30am on Sat morning when low and behold I spotted four Cyclelab cyclists sprawled across the road on the way back from their group ride (Troupant Ave). They must have been holding up at least 5 cars - I was heading in the opp direction. Bunch of absolute nobs who deserve a proper RFS!
  16. Holla trails without doubt - routes for all levels of fitness too. Also Giba Gorge if willing to head a little bit inland
  17. Curah are you a physio?
  18. I set off at about 9:30am if memory serves for my first 94.7 - I was about the 4th last group. Long, hot and lonely ride on an MTB. No drafting, no mates - still a jol though!

  20. Already Googled them after seeing the post - they are in Ruimsig
  21. Foxie was the bike still under warranty? Even if it was I don't think it would ever have crossed my mind to call a store in Joeys (considering the race is in KZN) as I just naturally assume they would say 'well what do you want us to do". Pleasant surprise
  22. Good to know
  23. Joburg2C has several options, and covers the Sani2C route
