  3. There is still some really good stuff up there!
  4. You left out point 12.b. Any Member is entitled to bring any infringement of the Constitution, the Code of Conduct, or any of the rules of the Club, any resolutions adopted and rulings made by the Club or Management Committee, any contract entered into by the Club, any competition established by the Club, or any laws, by-laws, regulations or rules of Cycling South Africa (CSA) to the attention of the Management Committee. Is there enough evidence across roughly 7000 email addresses to bring a complaint forward though, or are we just going to get a "PK" for bringing it up?
  5. Also SQ Lab saddles, switched to this recently and haven't looked back. https://sq-lab.co.za/Where-to-buy/
  6. As @Robbie Stewart has said in the other thread: It seems that all that is needed is to dare to ride their sacred trails. Then all bets are off and you can get freely bliksemed by any member. so @peetwindhoek take your life into your own hands.
  7. Apparently, as slow as a grandma driving a hyundai i10 doing 40km/h in the right hand lane. So translated to bike terms, nothing more than 10km/h and you have to do a mandatory dismount before getting into the corner.
  8. Please just take note of the language used in the newsletter is unfortunately very derogatory, and for a newsletter that is read by people of all ages and from different backgrounds, this may be seen as offensive, see the below quote from the newsletter, "you have my full permission to deliver them a moerse PK". Not to mention that anyone can sign up for the newsletter. Will the member code of conduct now be rewritten to include dishing out PKs to anyone and everyone? Then also, let's note that we as the members of the club are all PAYING members, thus we should expect some sort of professionalism, and using language such as that, and expecting members to violently deal with each other is just a recipe for disaster. As such, this is showing that the club is far removed from reality and wants to be seen as a committee of untouchables that rule and laude it over the general members of TBMTBC. Should we mention this turn of events from the club to Giant Tygerberg, as well as Reeds N1 Isuzu? Are they aware of you inciting violence, as well as bringing their brands into disrepute? Quite simply, until a public apology is made, the statements retracted and the actions condoned, a public boycott of those businesses will be enacted. Part of mail sent forth. @tygerbergmtb
  9. Will be doing the same shortly. Unfortunately have noticed a downward trend in managements (read: the club's) attitude toward the cycling community. Glad it's not just me that has the same impression. Yes, what they have isn't easily replaced, but annoy enough of your member base and you are going to have a problem.
  10. "you have my full permission to deliver them a moerse PK", as taken from the newsletter. So when two people be it a land-owner and cyclist, security etc get into fisticuffs on the trails, the standard response is going to be, "Pat said we could hand out PK's". @tygerbergmtb just some food for thought.
  11. What size rotors are on there now? I know with certain adapters the spacing is a little bit different, for the most part the same. EG: Sram-Shimano SRAM=200mm rotor, while Shimano = 203mm rotor. So no new rotors are needed, but check the minimum wear rating while you are at it, good excuse for an upgrade. IMO, your best bet would be to either A: get a newer adapter specific for hope (spacing and thickness is more than likely different due to offset of mount points on the caliper, thus pushing caliper further out), B: Sand it away and hope for best (not recommended).
  12. So effectively the rotor is 0.5/1mm too close to the spokes (rotor only catches on one side of caliper), or is it the other way that the PM adapter is too shallow that the rotor sticks out the top of the caliper? If it is the first, are you using any adapters CL-6 Bolt? If you are, a machine shop can machine the face for you, had the same issue when I went from Shimano to Formula brakes. If the second issue, then it's likely the actual adapter that may need to be adjusted.
  13. Hi all, hope everyone is well! Any ideas on where to get Conti trail/enduro tyres in SA? Such as below: https://www.continental-tires.com/bicycle/tires/mountainbike-tires/argotal Regards

  20. If you are slightly electrically inclined and have done some basic wiring, an inverter isn't really too much more difficult. Only thing is the extra(pass through) earthing point etc... Just saying it is possible to do... **DISCLAIMER, DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME, RATHER GET AN ELECTRICIAN**
  21. Have you seen the shipping cost with that?
  22. THREAD HIJACK What's the hammer trail like? Been hitting Jonker's lately for a change of scenery, and was just wondering. Really enjoying Red Phoenix at Jonker's though...
