I too have wondered why roadies don't always return or acknowledge greetings, but sometimes, ...just sometimes..., they may be too focused on their climb/decscent/pain to hear/see your greeting and return it...?

I've resisted responding to these posts before, but I really agree with Mark_48. I'm a (rather inactive) cyclist myself and have really enjoyed my rides in Cradle but, man, there are some real a$$holes who ride there who seem hell-bent on upsetting motorists and giving us all a bad name - just sheer bloody minded arrogance and stupidity. On several occasions I have been held up by even small groups riding four abreast, way outside of the demarcated cycling lane lane (which itself is not always the best place to ride, but too bad!) despite knowing knowing I was behind them and even pulling out from two abreast to 3/4 abreast when I closed up to them - absolutely deliberate - I just cannot fathom the mentality!? What to do? I don't know, this matter has been aired so many times and yet it does not seem to get better!? I sometimes fantasise about a goon squad that circulates in the Cradle dispensing some solid klaps to these idiots Rant over.

I have a few Swiss Army knives, some for over 30 years. The only challenge is to remember not to take it on to a plane with you, but to put it in your regular hold luggage - I would hate to have it confiscated..!

Since my faithful black G Shock now needs some R&M, I'm quite happy with this Casio Edifice which I bought in flight last week on KLM.
