  1. Agree, I had the same reaction. I hated the Burt Reynolds character too.
  2. A day late, but very slightly browned.
  3. Hmm great idea for a thread
  4. Aah, the 'Hondola'..winner of the 1967 Italian GP in the hands of John Surtees. Wild exhaust system and a great sound!
  5. Looney Tunes...
  6. ...aah, a culture thing then..
  7. Those ears are amazing..!
  8. bump...
  9. I too have wondered why roadies don't always return or acknowledge greetings, but sometimes, ...just sometimes..., they may be too focused on their climb/decscent/pain to hear/see your greeting and return it...?
  10. Good luck with the move, and drive safe. Karma will look after the boss man.
  11. Brilliant posters - I'd forgotten about the Phillips brand..
  12. If it hasn't been said already - we need this cop in the Cradle!
  13. where...where..
  14. OK, I now have to ask - what is it when trying to view most of the clips posted here I can hear the soundtrack but the visual is blanked out in white..?!
  15. Yeah, I'm in a Genghis Khan mood today!
  16. Go Sharks!
  17. I've resisted responding to these posts before, but I really agree with Mark_48. I'm a (rather inactive) cyclist myself and have really enjoyed my rides in Cradle but, man, there are some real a$$holes who ride there who seem hell-bent on upsetting motorists and giving us all a bad name - just sheer bloody minded arrogance and stupidity. On several occasions I have been held up by even small groups riding four abreast, way outside of the demarcated cycling lane lane (which itself is not always the best place to ride, but too bad!) despite knowing knowing I was behind them and even pulling out from two abreast to 3/4 abreast when I closed up to them - absolutely deliberate - I just cannot fathom the mentality!? What to do? I don't know, this matter has been aired so many times and yet it does not seem to get better!? I sometimes fantasise about a goon squad that circulates in the Cradle dispensing some solid klaps to these idiots Rant over.
  18. Great pic!
  19. Brilliant...
  20. I have a few Swiss Army knives, some for over 30 years. I'm currently carrying an Alox Pioneer in my computer bag, always handy in the office environment. http://www.victorinox.com/medias/sys_master/celum_assets/8813760839710_0_8201_26_Bild2_3078_eps_1.jpg?1 I bought it at the Victorinox Flagship Store on Rue De Marche in Geneva, which is a real treat to visit for Victorinox fans, carrying the entire Victorinox product range of knives, watches, clothing, luggage, and so on. The only challenge is to remember not to take it on to a plane with you, but to put it in your regular hold luggage - I would hate to have it confiscated..!
  21. I think B is more striking.
  22. Nice plane to fly in.
  23. Great post - love the sequence 1:28 to 1:34 approx, where you can really see them dousing a fire.
  24. RIP and condolences to family and friends of the deceased, and in the circumstances very much also to the riding buddies...
  25. Since my faithful black G Shock now needs some R&M, I'm quite happy with this Casio Edifice which I bought in flight last week on KLM. It will have to do until I can afford one of the many other great watches featured in this thread, but it's also quite fine, not too flash or gimmicky. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51egxDSdAqL._SL500_AA300_.jpg
