In November/December I stripped the paint off of the frame, I brushed the bare frame and then I had clear powder coat put onto the frame to protect it. I am running 1x10 and it is epic. shaper Posted January 14, 2013 Share Trek 6000. Thank youIf the trek adaptor is not quite right for yor frame, take a look at A2Z universal disc brake adaptor which is suitable for older frames. I have just put one on a 1999 trek which doesn't have the holes for fixing a trek/Gary fisher adaptor. I got mine from Wiggle. Will post a pic tomorrow.Finally got around to taking pics of the adaptor that i used to convert my Trek 4300 for disc brakes.
