@ Ryan: I have done exactly the same thing to my On One Scandal 29. In November/December I stripped the paint off of the frame, I brushed the bare frame and then I had clear powder coat put onto the frame to protect it. I am running 1x10 and it is epic. The matt silver frame gets a ton of attention! Great work dude!

Thanks pal... I love the raw frame and the the silver Niner badge on the front.

Why did you get the frame powder coated - worried about dulling or corrosion?

Who did the powder coating for you?

Oh - post pics man!

Trek 6000. Thank you

I may have one at home. Will check tonight. Bought it for my GF frame only to find out that frame could not take any adaptor.

Trek 6000. Thank you

If the trek adaptor is not quite right for yor frame, take a look at A2Z universal disc brake adaptor which is suitable for older frames. I have just put one on a 1999 trek which doesn't have the holes for fixing a trek/Gary fisher adaptor. I got mine from Wiggle. Will post a pic tomorrow.

Finally got around to taking pics of the adaptor that i used to convert my Trek 4300 for disc brakes. First pic shows the frame which does not have disc brake mounts, the second shows with the adaptor fitted which I got from wiiggle and just bolts on. http://www.wiggle.co...sal-disc-mount/

Looking at a Sektor or Revelation 150/120mm. Unfortunately after this new frame and crankset, the bike funds are seriously depleted for a bit :whistling:
