Hey Guys

I'm busy building my own little SS project, and am thinking of bringing in a carbon 26 rigid fork from China, If I bring in 3 more forks it will make the price for each fork quite a bit cheaper R1150 each.

carbon used is T600 and weight is 500g +- 20g and straight 1-1/8 steer

so if anyone is interested in getting a fork with me send me a PM :)

You should see if you can get them in Post mount rather than IS it looks a lot cleaner

I actually have fond them in Post Mount, and made with a better carbon from another supplier for about the same price. the also do 29" forks, so if anyone is looking for a rigid 29" they'll be R1500 each and the 26" still R1150

Have they got them in 29" with tapered headtube?

Way too easy. I did 32x18 at VG last year. Slap a smaller one at the front

I'm in the process of building a singlespeed (old Peugeot) and want to upgrade the bottom bracket. The bottom bracket I'm looking at using is this one: http://www.chainreac...x?ModelID=71369

I also hope to make use of my existing Shimano FC-1050 square tapered cranks. If you look at the pic you will see that the existing spindle takes a nut as opposed to a bolt to hold the crank on. The length of the spindle at the edge of the taper is approx 116mm.

Should I go for a 115mm spindle or another length and will my cranks fit on this BB ?

well lets see the chain rings.

We cut our first one today, but it is just something plain and boring, tomorrow will step up the customization of a ring. What would you pay for a bog standard off the shelf single speed 48 tooth front ring?

How are these 'custom'? Different shapes etc may be of interest...

Something long the lines of this, this is just a pic from the net, but I'm sure you get the idea.

Nice.

Prices on chain rings (mtb chain rings for SS or x1 applications) go from around R400 - R1000. This includes anodized ones and Wolf Components.

CRC for a BB that goes for R120 at the LBS? - Rather go past your LBS and pick up a BB, the 115 should be no problem, unless the cranks were extremely close to the chainstays.
