since when is the leader of the race not allowed to back up the race behind a safety car? Its a tactic done since the first ever safety car was introduced! there are only ever two things that happen in the final corner before a safety car is brought in, either the leader bunches everyone up or he floors it. Vettle predicted incorrectly and paid the price for it. BUT then the road rage is even worse than what Schumie did to prevent Villieneuve from overtaking yet Schumie got stripped of his 2nd place in the title. I think Vettle was extremely lucky to only get a 10sec penalty

Wow!

What Vettel did after is wrong, reacted out of anger without taking the time to think about it.

Data shows Hamilton did not brake  (foot brake), but what about engine braking, just take your foot off the accelerator pedal and it's as if you put your foot on the brakes, especially with those high compression motors?

The whole thing was it was not the last corner before the safety car came in. Normally only start backing up on the last corner.

Hamilton went from 90km/h to 38km/h using engine braking.

I enjoyed it, too much fannying about in F1 these days.

The drivers cannot talk over the radio to one another so he used morse code.

Loved the race.

That's crazy! Verstappen having lots of bad luck this season

On the radio, he does not even sound surprised any more.

What does that mean?

For starters that puts him on 9. If he gets 3 more he will get an automatic 1 race ban. First points to drop from his total will be the weekend of the Silverstone P which means he has to go 2 races without any penalties or he will receive a ban.

It was introduced to keep drivers in check over a longer period and well, because Maldonado and early Grosjean.

Naughty boy. Where does one find a list of who has how many points?

His 4 retirements have been 4 different causes though - gearbox in Canada, brakes in Bahrain, collision in Spain and now his engine.
