It is going to be a new link, was supposed to open last week but we had some issues so it is in abeyance whilst we sort them out.

It will link a new start point, Karibib, with Jordan and the Bike Park (also a new start point). I will mark the loop closed on Trailforks until we are ready...

Speaking of the Bike Park, @Trail-Blazer, when is the proposed opening date?
Really would love to give it a go.

I have just ordered the signage, so give it until Mid-November, will announce it far and wide when it's official.

Loving all the new single track out there!

Did I miss an event or what is this signage?

They had an event there at the beginning of October. It may be from that.

Affirmative, there may be signs left over from the Eco-weekend that were missed when collecting them in, if you see any please advise location and we'll disappear them!

Just saw this post about the Winelands regional board:

And also the deal between Tygerberg MTB and Winelands:

Can we expect BHRC to broker a similar deal with Winelands? Hope so!!

Maybe its time for a Greater Cape Town annual MTB board which grants access to all the trails in the area. The one downside to this is how much that board will end up costing, since riding ALL the trails in the greater Cape is unlikely for the vast majority of riders in a year. So you'd end up substituting trails you never end up riding in a calendar year. As it stands there are more trails in the Cape I have not ridden than I have. Where do you start, where do you end. And at what point do people say, nah, too pricey?

1500 for Tygerberg and Winelands is not a bad deal for me as I have already ridden more than that in those two areas this year had I needed to pay for each ride (I am a Tygerberg member), but not everyone rides as much as I do, and I have also only ridden Banhoek and Plaisir in the participating trails this year.

Which is still a good deal for me, but again, not everyone sees it that way.

Will I be able to ride these trails on a gravel bike, my brother is visiting from out of town and wants to go ride somewhere in this area.

The red route should be doable with a gravel bike.

You can ride anything on a gravel bike, just depends on your skill level.

On a roadbike
