Tony Iommi's 3 grams a night habit wasn't even his main narrative. His love of thuggish violence and inserting himself at the thinnest of opportunities makes his existential circumstance surprising. Got myself onto a pre launch list to try and get a ticket. I was meant to see ozzy in 2019 but he postponed due to ill health , then Covid came along then his health again and finally in 2023 we were refunded eventually. so this is my final shot at seeing ozzy and black sabbath. Great line up including Jake e Lee who I rate as a guitarist, he was in ozzy’s band at one point but fell foul of Sharon, so good to see him tooo. And Gojira , wow, just wow. suspect tickets will be north of 200 though. But if I get the opportunity to buy one I will certainly do so. Or failing that will live stream it if they have that possibility. here’s a pic in front of the mill that was the album cover for the first album. This was on the anniversary of the album launch. I still have some random regional award for a piece I wrote about the collective effect of those albums in some box. You have me started on Gojira already. Intrigued.
