Hi Wyatt

Resurrecting this thread, having just bought a XT5, any suggestions on lenses? Mix of landscapes, cityscapes, natural sciences (my phrase for flowers, insects and other small creatures), with the odd game viewing. For now I just have the kit zoom (see sample pet pic).

In particular, any views on the Tamron 17-70, my interest is piqued with its constant aperture throughout the zoom range?

Hope you are well.

Excellent camera body, great sensor.

I would suggest the Fujifilm 10-24 for the landscape and wide angle stuff.

If that’s too wide, the 16-80 mm lens is superb, crisp, very light and well priced.

One of the fluorescent species? Beautiful.

(I collect edibles here in ZA and I don't think we have any of the fluorescent ones here.)

Yes, part of the MYcena family.Β

Given NZ is pretty cool and wet most of the time, its a fungi hunters paradise! I am totally obsessed with taking macro photos of them all. Will share a few more...

@ Wayne

Fantastic.

There are many undiscribed species ........ and if you find one of those, you get to name it ........ perhaps with your Hub name?

Also, look out for glow in the dark ones. Another challenge to photograph.
