Moffat used to walk for over 2 hours per day to work and back, or pay R30 per day for taxi fare. This bike has improved his quality of life! He rides an old steel frame road bike and needs some tyres, as his are old, the sidewalls are cracking, and he keeps getting punctures. Does anybody have an old pair of usable 700c tyres? I am happy to pick up in the Southern Suburbs/City Centre/Camps Bay area. I gather there isn't a Cape Town pickup spot, so this seems like a relevant non-hijack of this thread - can anyone help out? divernick Posted January 9, 2014 Share One of the guys who received a bike a while ago brought it back to me complaining that the brakes aren't working. Had it serviced recently including new tyres. Missing saddle bag and chrome fenders . Normal wear and tear of a unloved bike in storage.
