(Deon) Posted September 6, 2011 Share Actually.. he might not need a bike now but... has he been chucked from YL yet? He could launch the Morewood Tjopper himself and then ride it home! Thanks for the inspiration banna! STOP PRESS, Silverback says they will make it!

Thanks for the inspiration banna! You know, we should just stop this thread right now. I mean, Julius is just the ultimate tjop. There's no use competing? I mean, if there was a Tjop Olympics, the man would just clean it up.
bontie Posted September 6, 2011 Share My definition of a tjop in cycling terms: Last year at the D&D race, this tjops arrives with his s-works in the front seat of his BMW328 cabriolet. Now that is a bit much.I was once witness to someone arriving at a club ride with a Merida 96 D - inside a Porsche Boxster - Wheel in that front little boot thing, onother wheel on front passenger seat and the bike bit behind the seats. Was quite a nice bloke (not really a tjop) but I found it slightly amusing...
Tankman Posted September 6, 2011 Share Your a tjop when you have not removed the white and orange reflectors in the spokes, the spoke protector, the flat pedals with reflectors, wear a "helmut" that is 2 sizes too big the wrong way round and still have your underwear on while wearing your white cycling pants How could you forget the disk breaks! What I forgot was that it is February and above mentioned Tjop still has last years orange Argus stickers on his handle bar and back to front helmut. Tiny K Posted September 6, 2011 Share You're a tjop if you ride like one. Punt klaar! There are those who will ride like tjops whether it is on a R1K bike or a R100K bike..... Then there are those guys who believe that riding an expensive bike means that they can ride like they want = tjop.
ZOINCS Posted September 6, 2011 Share How would you know they have an expensive bike? They tell you!
E1A104 Posted September 6, 2011 Share don't know a thing about the price>tjop conversion formula, but sean badenhorst and his sycophants are tjops.
Zac.A Posted September 6, 2011 Share you've left massive gaps in your poll. If a bike costs R30000 then its more than >20000 but less than a small car.#justsaying.

Sure I've offended somebody now. GT2 or SL63 AMG ... in my dreams (and with a tow bar for my bike rack)!!
Andyr249 Posted September 7, 2011 Share I don't think the price has anything to do with it.If you have the money and want to spend it on a bike then that is your choice. Are people who shop at Woolworths instead of Checkers also tjops just because they can spend more money for the same thing?
The_Break Posted September 8, 2011 Share U do get tjops on bikes below R5000-00 and can also pay R43-00 for 4 small lamb tjops at Spar too...choice is yours! I know guys with 20K+ bikes and they arent tjops, just hate them for their nice bikes! If you are a chop for having a >20k bike, what would you be called for ahaving a 20k wheelset? A Texas Steak? 20k is not a lot of cash for a fairly decent bike these days especially if cycling is your passion and you enjoy spending your hard earned money on it. Probably less than some people spend on new rims or sound systems for their cars.

As OneNut said, it's not about the bike...
