Thats another way of saying he's not the rider he used to be, now a bit of a hasbeen (Ooops sorri Grumps) washed up former doper.

When your in winning form every course / finish is your favourite...

Different finishes suit different riders, Swissvan.

And, yes, he is far from his best after a crazy start to 2012.

Ok after this weekend the Giro is looking good.....think we are in for one hell of a race in the final week.

Scarponi as expected looks very good,Basso is there and should be up there in the 3rd week,Frank looks like he is there to race, kreuziger and Rodrigeuz up there as well.

Good to see so many possible contenders!!

My early crazy prediction.........Frank to walk away with it...:-)

I'll stick with my earlier choice of Scarponi for podium, with Kreuziger a close contender.

Astana looked very good going into the final climb but then just faded leaving Kreuziger pretty much alone.

Scarponi has been riding constantly at the front and hasn't looked to be in any trouble yet. I was a little surprised to see Cunego tailed off the end of the gruppo there, its a climb that should suit him, dont know what was up, maybe just a bad day.?

I had to chuckle when I saw Pozzavivo make a break, he has such a small build he looks like a young teenager, - but a good win for him none the less and its not often you see the stage winner, standing on the elevated podium, is still shorter than the podium girls. :D

Indeed, although he hasn't really poked his nose in front yet he looks committed enough. Dont think he has much support structures though, his team have been waving "adios" early on the climbs and by Giro standards these are still bumps in the road.

I wonder whats the chances of a surprise winner like say Rujano, he has been up there on all the climbs so far and he should, on paper, be better than many on the really steep long mountain passes in the final week, he just needs one or two good run's and he could put minutes into everyone else, I dont think you will see him again if that happens, it will be over.

Unlikely or possible, what do you think.?
