but a youtube partner which is a person with thousands and thousands of subscribers and hundreds of thousands/millions of video views gets paid for every 1,000 views they receive on their videos

for every thousand views a youtube partner receives $2.50 ( 2 dollars and 50 cents)

although this is not a very large sum of money it soon adds up when the user gets hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of views

yes you are correct! i bet there is some serious self-kicking going on. Now you see how people make money with videos on the internet. Remi Gallard (http://www.youtube.com/user/nqtv?ob=5) has multiple videos on there with millions of views

 

In fact - from his channel - Total Upload Views:792,708,396 = approx $2 million!! - if those figures of $2.5 per 100 views are correct
