gummibear Posted October 17, 2011 Share On my ride this morning i had a group of 8 guys go past me on a long hill (nothing strange about that). The bikes they were riding were naked carbon,no name brand. The strange thing was the groupset,it looked like Sram Red but was electric, also no makings on them. The rear derailleur has a huge box and cover on it.The batteries were cable tied to the seatposts. The guys never said much until i tried to take a photo, then all hell broke loose. Looks like Sram is testing a new groupset and shifting seems very quiet and pretty smooth. splat Posted October 17, 2011 Share That sounds exciting!Electro Sram! When you say 'all hell broke loose', was there shouting and swearing?Interested in their reaction - for interest sake...

javadude Posted October 17, 2011 Share Brake failure due to a flat battery somehow does not appeal to me LOL. That has to be the dumbest idea of all time. Unless the brakes work in reverse, with the motor required to keep them open, and a flat battery would apply the brakes(hopefully not too suddenly at 80 kmh).
