ipl pricing is whacked, but he is far too underrated by our selectors.

shamzi is #1 T20i bowler, B Azam #1 batsmen, both of them in action miles from IPL currently

Some of us are here to bat and some of us are here to slog. I know which one I am. Which is why I have been playing so much golf. - Can't fault Morris for enjoying himself.

Also I might not have gotten the quote 100% accurate but he did say something along those lines.

This is a good match in the making.

It was pretty close in the end. If only we had another 10 15 runs to play with. A good solid comeback, just a pity about the double no ball in the penultimate over.

there are 14 unions in Sa cricket, and some of the presidents are F$#$%$%$% everything up for everyone

6 adopted it, 5 voted against it and 3 mamparas abstained.

the dissenters are apparently

Beresford Williams (acting chair/WP) and  Angelo Carolissen (Boland Cricket Union), Tebogo Siko (Northerns Cricket Union),

John Mogodi (Limpopo Impala Cricket) and Donavan May (Eastern Province Cricket)

but meanwhile, we get our kolpaks back

Things are so bad that government intervention seems like a good idea. I can't quite fathom how we got this far down this hole but here we are anyways. The only good thing is that Mthethwa seems intent on merely putting a majority independent board in place and let things go from there.

The only people in SA that seem to actually care about cricker is us fans, the players and the coaches. Everybody else is all about building their own Kingdoms!

This one won't ever die down.

Starke, Hazlewood and Cummins obviously in a tough spot here.

 either -

a)they had no knowledge of how the ball was being handled, and despite being the fast bowlers, just left it up to the batsmen to go about it.

b)didn't get sanctioned for it and let the other three take the fall. now they have to perpetuate the lie.

Especially hard for Mitchell Starc who took 9 wickets with reverse swing in the opening game, only 3 more in the rest of the series. Must have thought he was Wasim Akram all of a sudden

meanwhile. it appears the best T20 batter in the world has for realsies now retired from the proteas

Means that the selectors can get on with selecting a team without having to worry about somebody insisting that AB absolutely *needs* to be on the team! The Proteas need to be able to move on and start getting their best line ups for each format sorted without the will he won't he nonsense that the AB debate sparked!

JA,I know but he's the best player we have and it's a T20 world cup.

In other news, this has to be the greatest cricket story of the decade. Will he make the ashes squad?

Devon Conway, a former Gauteng player, frustrated with a lack of opportunities in South Africa, made the call to move to NZ and pursue his cricket dreams. Today he debuted in Test Cricket becoming only the third debutant to score a century at Lord's (https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/cricket/black-caps/125325751/black-caps-v-england-devon-conway-produces-magical-debut-century-at-lords).

Whilst CSA lurches from disaster to disaster, driving talent away, it seems a new favoured destination for neglected players is NZ: https://www.sportsadda.com/cricket/features/devon-conway-south-africa-new-zealand-profile-west-indies-series

NZ starts this test with three SA-born cricketers: Conway, Neil Wagner and BJ Watling.

And Zimbabwean-born Colin de Grandhomme.

Third 'foreign' debutant. In total there are six, if you include English batsmen...
