Garfield2010 Posted January 2, 2013 Share I was thinking the same when it comes to series. Have the number 1 + 2 teams play 5 Test Series1 + 3 and 2 + 3 can have a four Test series and so on The problem is the Tours are set years in advance and ratings change. Yes indeed. It is about the money as well. They just also need to consider the 2 days lost due to the game being over already...... I still think they need to keep test windows open. All teams needs to keep certain dates open and then the draw is decided once a year? So SA will be notified if they will tour to Auz or Eng end of year by Sept for example........ All other things remain the same.....
Tumbleweed Posted January 2, 2013 Share Third fastest fivefor in history apparently… The second fastest five-for was at the same ground: "By fastest five wicket haul, I suspect you mean taking minimum balls to dismiss five batsmen. If that's the case, it happened recently when Shane Watson of Australia took 5 wicket inside 21 balls at Cape Town 2011 but he stayed at the second position because the record belongs to Earnie Toshack of Australia who dismissed 5 Indian batsmen at Brisbane back in 1947 inside just 19 balls, conceding only 2 runs." andydude Posted January 2, 2013 Share The ICC needs to wake up. They should only allow teams to play other teams who are within 2 or 3 spots from them at home. What I mean is that SA should never play NZ in South Africa whilst SA is number one and NZ sixth. Yes we can go there as it will be a bit more challenging but what does it do to the sport currently. Auz beating Sri Lanka within 3 days with an innings! We should have played Auz or Eng again. Not sure why those series was so short in anycase. This is not fun watching...............I was thinking the same when it comes to series. Have the number 1 + 2 teams play 5 Test Series1 + 3 and 2 + 3 can have a four Test series and so on The problem is the Tours are set years in advance and ratings change. Isn't that like saying in rugby SA should only play NZ and perhaps England? The wheel turns, so in a few years NZ might kick our ass again. But at least a rugby game lasts 80 minutes regardless...... All I am saying is that they should consider it.....

WernerP39 Posted January 2, 2013 Share I wonder if they said to Smith at the toss... You will bowl first, but you will be out batting before lunch on Day 1... I reckon he still would've taken it in terms of the team position...
