Just want to thank Jeandre at linden cycles. Got my new MTB and a few extras from him yesterday and he did a set up for me.

This dude gave super great customer service. Again just re affirmed why linden is best LBS

I've always received excellent service from ALL the guys(and Jonene) there.

I(in the guise of father christmas) bought a Camelbak Mini Mule for mini-me from them this week, and their price was even better than the ex-VAT CRC price, AND I got a discount on top of that (for being loyal/a regular?)

Linden Cycles has become my LBS

Bought my Silverback Stride 10 from Linden Cycles today. Thank you to Jaco and Jabo for the advice and set-up. He spent more than 2 hours with me without getting irritated. It nice to buy stuff from someone who actually cycle themselves. Great service.

Nice to know they are still going strong. I got my first cycling kit from them way back in 1987, then in 89 got a Petini frame which was their own bike brand. You could say that Jonene knows a thing or two about the industry.

Based on this thread I decided to give Linden another try as I have not been overly impressed in the past. After today my opinion remains unchanged.

Sometimes I wonder whether it is the fact that I don't have an athletic appearance or because I'm female that I'm not being considered an important customer.

Is it acceptable to tip these guys?

I understand the intention, but how much? Rather buy the guys good coffee, muffins, chelsea buns Nando's and of course beer...

I'm a Linden Cycle fan, I was well advised by Jonene when I started out, but what I have found is that you have to be a little 'pushy' to get someone's attention, especially when it is crowded.

Yes you need to get a bit pushy when it's crowded - it's only crowded because they are good. Before coming to CT I only used Linden Cycles and if I ever go back to JHB I will support them again. Joenene has always been over the top when it comes to service and a happy person to deal with. Some of the help only become this way when thety start to recognise you ........... but hey I've always only had good prices and servisce from Linden & Joenene

I've not had great experiences with their. Promised to phone back and never did. In order to get someone's attention you have to rugby tackle them.

Went in yesterday to look for an indoor trainer. Sadly no-one available to help me. Very sad as I also saw shoes at good prices and would have bought a pair(women and shoes...). Went elsewhere, got great service and now got a indoor trainer to play with.

I know they are very popular and busy. Maybe employ more people to assist? They might be even more busy if people like me don't walk out and shop elsewhere. I don't like begging people to take my hard earned money.
