Fruity Posted January 17, 2016 Share I'm seriously jealous of those that live in Paarl and Wellington (and surrounds). Paarlberg is awesome. Nothing technical (the bit that I rode), but a serious workout and unbelievable views all around the boland. Can't wait to go again! http://i.imgur.com/2wtSk1M.jpgLooks awesome

lukes_handle Posted January 26, 2016 Share On the way down into the gorge on one of two stops to cool off the brakes, 400m in 2km, I made it back up as well with a lot of struggling and burning legs (iPhone 6) Edited January 26, 2016 by lukes_handle BarHugger

Next time don't touch the brakes and they won't need a cool off (except maybe for those two sharp left hand corners).

lukes_handle Posted January 27, 2016 Share Nice picture. Next time don't touch the brakes and they won't need a cool off (except maybe for those two sharp left hand corners). There were a number of hairpins you can't see from the photo and there are 'speed bumps' to divert the water flow off the road so I had to slow for them otherwise it would have been OTB or smashed rims
