Rudi Paige inside Lambie.

Kolbe in the squad

Victor on standby

Victor on standby - I'll platz! I swear.

As good as he is you can't beat the All Blacks with small fast okes. They have okes that weigh 100kg that are faster and can step better than our small fast okes.

What a player

Pivot - Lamb Chops? Or who?

Whatever the squad looks like, I hope black players get their opportunity as there is a healthy crop of talent there.

And that rocket pocket turbo Kolbe gets his moment in green.

Wonder that the team strategy is

That is the map for player selection

Last year there was not one Lions player in the core springbok team despite finishing 2nd in SA Superugby and CC champions without losing a game. Wonder if Coetzee follows same bias as Meyer and leaves the Lions out, good thing is it will give them fresh legs to continue their Super rugby pursuit.

In form 13 centres are Jordaan (Sharks), Mapoe (Lions) and Venter (Cheetahs). One of them should crack the nod.

I have always enjoyed watching Jordaan. He is a fine player but I'm none to sure if he is entirely an international class player though. Will haste to add that I would be pleased if he does get the nod and prove my doubts wrong.

Haven't seen much of Venter but have been impressed by his play. Huge future for him, just concerned that international rugby might be a stretch too far at this stage of his career.

Mapoe should be the first choice 13. He has been brilliant for the Lions over the past few seasons. Would pair up well with Serfontein and given the right mix with the halfbacks and the back three our Boks could potentially be devastating on attack depending on what the game plan will be.

Faf and Lambie would serve us best I think.

Personally I think that we could see a backline that'll look like this:

9 - Faf De Klerk

10 - Pat Lambie

12 - Jan Serfontein

13 - Lionel Mapoe

11 - Courtnall Skosan/Lwazi Mvovo

14 - JP Pietersen

15 - Willie Le Roux/Cheslin Kolbe

AC has lots of talented attacking players available so hopefully he'll go for a more running rugby approach. Only places I have uncertainty over who will play there is left wing and fullback. Either of Skosan or Mvovo will do a good job and have been in good form as well. Fullback is trickier as nobody other than Le Roux and Kolbe have been putting up their hands but neither have been brilliantly consistent.

Ouch, that's gotta hurt.

Well done Lions [emoji106]

Newspaper headlines: 'Slagting op Loftus' - Rapport, ' Rampaging Lions culls the Bulls' - Sunday Times, 'Lions shred the Bulls' - The Star and finally 'Lions rules Loftus' - The Weekend Argus.

Couldn't help but do a fist pump each time they scored. Ball in hand free running rugby is still the best style of play imho!
