isn't 29er celebration day kinda like the Pride Parade?

...so yeah, who's coming out of the bike shed and admitting to own one?

Believe it, because it is true :)

No dude. 29ers are not cool. That's like saying laptops are cool. Functional yes. Cool. No. No-one cool rides a 29er. Not anymore.

29ers are like Harleys. They used to be cool and a little edgy. Now they are ridden by lawyers and dentists. Not cool.

There's NOTHING cool about a paunchy 40 something swopping his golf clubs for a 29er. Wearing roadie kit, riding jeep track only and strapping his 29er to the roof of his suitably boring german sedan.

To the 29er haters out there, please don't hate us :( One day when you're big, perhaps it will take another 4 years, you'll have one and you will show us some love

They should add the letters "ocks" after Bull , as this is what happened after they got them pink jerseys…

Yay! i can now join the 29'er debate proper now that i have a sparkly new 29'er and my trusty 26" baby that looked well after me. Honestly love both bikes, still have to get used to my new baby, but just for interest sake, Im not at my fittest atm, took my 29'er out on a meerendal loop last night and without trying i shattered my previous best time (while i was much stronger and fitter) at Meerendal, there definitly is something about all the hype. Also clocked my fastest ever on the down towards the bluegum forest, beat my previous fasted descent by 8kmh. That bike is just insane.

And that said still need to do some critical upgrades on the 29'er to make her drop a few pounds to get into the weight range of my 26".

But alas if i could afford too i would keep my 26" she is just so much of fun.

It's not hate. It's pity.

No, what's really cool is riding what you like and not giving a f**** what others might think, including those paunchy 40/50 somethings who swapped their golf clubs for something more worthwhile  (no matter the wheelsize)

A 29er might look like a clown cause it got bigger boots, but a 26er rides like a circus bike and they always manage to make me laugh with all those accidental wheelies and going all over the place over some sand or loose. As for coolness I really dont give a crap when out in the bergs, the 29er rulez. Happy 29er day.
