Accuweather says Sunday is 33/19 and SE 6 knots (11kph for mavrick). Holding thumbs it stays that way.

Dude 1kt = 1.852km/h

So you assume it's gona be a hurricane? Most likely 10km/h

Im going with knots as its set up that way on my app. Anything below 10 knots for me is acceptable.

Don't worry about the SW; that only blows after a front has passed. Neither a NW; no front on the way. It will either be SE or no wind the morning, how strong is still up in the air. In the afternoon it will be either SE or S. If we have a strong SE in the morning it will stay SE through afternoon. If a light SE on no wind in the morning, then we might have S in the afternoon.

The prophet has spoken.

Stop squealing! You guys are very fortunate just to be able to do the Argus! My race went out the window when I blew my budget on the "Challenge Cape Town" fiasco!

Windguru and windfinder still have Sunday and Monday as 'light' wind days. hopefully it stays this way, but these sites can only be trusted 2 -1 days before the event, as predicting weather is sooooo changeable...

I just spoke to a Sangoma at the Cape Town station and the weather is all good for Sunday guys

He told me he is going home to put on his Deep Sections and iron his Assos Chronosuit in anticipation of a wind free race.

That sucks man! I remember that one. HUGE balls up. On the plus side you got to enjoy a weekend in the Cape (but I think it was raining that weekend - but I could be wrong)

I am sure you can hook an entry from the classifieds, jump into someone's luggage and fly to CT to do the race...... will look random with the person whose luggage you are travelling in, booking in two bikes for transport.....

the southeaster luckily blows towards the city, so it will be mostly into your back after suikerbossie except if you are doing the route in reverse :w00t:

I speak from experience - the SE howls almost directly down those mountains westwards, the road to Camp Bay can be hectic but fun, not quite used to 'climbing' down a hill (2009)
