And bottles in the first 2km…

Was seeded in F for the 40km and had to dodge bottles instead of rocks in the first couple of km's. Tim's going to have a fun time picking them up.

There is a away to see who went around the last bottleneck. Everyone that didn't take a shortcut would have a photo of them going over the big tree bridge. Of course this would be a ridiculous task to match up numbers and photos but anyway, your races are great and you have an awesome team just think you missed the mark on this one a bit.

I am looking forward to VG

Sums it up for me...won't boycot the whole series because of this was just not the best. Can't wait for the last one...

Mr Pienaar has a very short memory. Had he read the threads of last years Down and Dirty and remembered my email regarding a complained on the congestion they should have changed something.

This said, it is only this leg that causes problems everytime (3 years is a row). The others are usually fine. Good job on Advendurance.

To be fair they did change the route and I think this year's route was an improvement on last year. Unfortunately stupidity is very difficult to plan for - they had two inbred brain donors try take a loaded quad bike across the bridge. The race keeps improving so hopefully within another 3 years it should be perfect

I think people should be more realistic about how good a route one could put together based on the given terrain. Seriously, I don't think you can find much more climbing and single track in that area. In terms of wind and dust, well that's August for you.

What I do think needs to happen is that the Advendurance structural engineering department needs a big Sidi up the @ss for building that blue b@stard of a bridge. My 3 year old builds safer bridges with his lego blocks.

What does need to be added also, is that Fritz and the boys had copped a lot of flack in the past for various issues and have almost always addressed the problems.

Dont think the blue bridge was engineered for two blokes on a Quad bike...

Be assured though that it will not negatively affect your seeding for the next event, as the SAS system only takes your best results and discounts your bad results. None of the prize categories were affected by this.

Thank you for the feedback and support.

this is the only SAS event I've done!!

Correction the USN race is held 3 km away and has 35 km of singletrack. plus I have done plenty ride in the area and there is no shortage of ST.

Can you imagine the queues with 35km of single track?

Will be hike-a-bike for everyone starting D onwards I think

On continuos singletrack there is a little bottle necking at the tart and then it works itself out eventually. The problem is when you have short ST then long district roads. The dirt roadies come flying past you ( espacially since I'm on an SS) and then stop in the ST and you go past and then same issue.

You're right but it will be a big problem if the track is shared. There is a massive skill gap between 70 & 40km riders.
