Agg... all this coffee talk...think I'll go and make me a cup

Winter arrived this weekend so the nespresso worked overtime and now the office nespresso machine is taking load as well...

Nothing like a good strong coffee...pity no rusks or biscotti around

Where can one buy actual Nespresso pods in PTA?

I dont believe there is a retail outlet in Pretoria, probably the closest would be the shop in Sandton City. When I was there the other day the guy said they are considering opening a branch in Menlyn Shopping centre, but as of now, its still a "thought"! eek.gif

You can buy them on line though if you dont feel like the drive, but I like going to the shop, I taste a few new blends everytime, get on a coffee high and then buy boxes of the stuff. laugh.png Great business model.!

Gee wiz. The whole business model is awesome. The expensive pods you get "tricked" in to when buying a cheap machine ;) up to the shopping experience.

Guess I'll have to hit sandton some time.

Ha, Ha, - I picked up some imported Italian almond and honey biscotti the other day for, wait for it ...........R7.99 a packet. I dont know if it was a mistake or what but there were loads on the shelf all the same price. Usually here they are at least 20 bucks a packet, maybe more.

Yeah, go early in the morning after a ride or something, dont have any coffee before you go either, they have a great little kiosk at the shop and you can taste as many various blends as you like free - make it worth your while.! laugh.png laugh.png

Has anyone tried the nespresso capsules that you fill yourself?

Nope, is that an official Nespresso capsule or one of those that look like...

Ha boer maak n plan hmmm on second thoughts i'm to lazy to go that route, prefer the simple approach, load, lock, fire, empty tray into dustbin...

I hear you. I'd like to try it and see how much effort it takes.

Hmm, interesting, but seems they are only good for about 30 fills, so the cost of your pod per cuppa is still about R1.80 and thats without packing it with any coffee yet. Not really a saving as they suggest, the draw card to me would be that I can use other blends from Starbucks, Douwe Egberts etc in my Nespresso.

I'll consider it over a few Nespresso's and decide. biggrin.png - Let ya know if I go ahead.!

Was just at the Nespresso shop today to stock up on Crealto before it goes off the shelf and they have a new limited edition out for Halloween. Unfortunately they are not allowing tastings as each shop only got 750 boxes but you can buy a box @ R120.00 for 10.

Rather pricey I thought, considering one cant even try it first, but I took a box anyway and will try it later,..... I had three espresso's at the shop and I am still buzzing.laugh.png
