@ Hairy. Thursday really can't come fast enough. Im planning on getting out of the office a bit earlier today to take them for a ride. Nice little climb from the house to the top of the road.

Already have my shopping basket filled at CRC with the goodies I wan't for my own build. :w00t:

Do share!

Still chopping and changing but for a start it will most likely be a Singluar Swift, XT wheels and crank. Formula brakes, Ragley bar, Thompson post & stem etc.

The little bits here and there I have.

I had Ragleys on my bike, I could not get used to them, felt very wide and unnatural. Probably due mainly to the sweep, which forces your elbows down. I tend to ride with my elbows up, something carried over from MX bikes.

That was without a doubt the most fun Ive had on a bike ever.

The simplicity of it, the challenge and most important of all, the ride.

Its no longer about the bike or the gears or the correct suspension setup. Its all about the right line, getting the momentum going and powering through a climb.

Im hooked. Dammit!!!

Another geared bike going up for sale in the classifieds... Good to hear you're hooked, now, about the bike, we wait with bated breath to see what you're going to build...

Judging by your avatar Stretched, are you on a "on-one"?

Indeed, Big Orange as she's known, XL 29er Inbred, with a steel Niner fork. Put my Merida 96 up for sale the other day, as it's been hanging in the garage for more than a year, not being ridden... Love Big Orange

Im in 3 minds at the moment on what to build. The Singular is such a comfortable bike. I did not expect a full rigid to ride like that. I am leaning towards that or maybe doing an ISpyDaFly.

My lower back took a bit of beating though. Will need to work on the core a bit more. However, my legs handled the riding so much better than on my 26er dualy.

What impressed me the most was that I set personal records on almost all the Strava sections I had tracked in the past at MTN park.

For now the Fuji will stick around. Still have a bit of a gravity freak inside me.

Ahh , welcome my son .

now dont give the bike back , keep it.if it was lent to you the owner is clearly not into his ss that much.

Good to see someone else who "gets" SS.

Welcome.

There's a regular bunch of SS'ers you'll see at Rietvlei and Thaba. Myself, Stretched@birth and the_nerd. If you're around, come join us.

Sadly I clearly don't but I will still ride my SSR once or twice a week because I do enjoy it and not be selling any of my geared bikes!
