What, think i need to start selling some parts too :whistling: , give me more free time to ride in the week and not have to do it when its dark .

Did the route for the SS champs this coming weekend ( 30odd km ) so ya probly did not get to do the other 60% that there .

And remember late comers have the most fun .

I'm told the secret to selling parts is to avoid selling the ones you really need...selling your body parts might affect your cycling, just saying... That being said, you SS okes might as well sell your brains.... Not used much, gears are too complicated? Giggle

how does Thaba compare to Kings Kloof with regards to technicality?

Thaba has such a wide variety of trails, you ride at your own level, something for beginners and family, to massive drops, rocks and downhills.... some gradual climbs, and some short technical climbs you cannot imagine someone could ever ride up...

Thx TheV, I'll go check it out

What I do like about Thaba and Wendels trails generally is that there are no 'bike breaker' bits en route ..... tough and tricky for sure though and there are quite a few places I have to walk but then again I am a tad technically challenged.

I DON'T fall over in parking lots or put pedals on 'inside out' though :whistling:

How do those trails compare to their sisters at the Vlei?

Take the climbing legs you left at home for the Vlei with to Thaba ...... that is the biggest difference in my opinion as well as way more variety of tech stuff (it is a much bigger area)

Nearly 500m's of climbing in the 'Thaba Toughee' 20k loop and that's not even using the full options available ....

both Thaba trails and Rietvlei are awesome, i was at Thaba trails on Saturday, Rietvlei yesterday, was about to kit up and head to Thaba trails but my baby sitter ( mom ) decided she had to go shopping!! now i have to baby sit ;)

Wendell and team also sell some nice bikes, i am considering replacing my Titan Elite 26" with his new Titan Carbon 29er.... still in 2 minds though.... decisions decisions........

I think I must make a plan to try Thaba out...

would've had my introduction to it at the SASSC this weekend.... but can't make it anymore

I only ever venture South for good food  (Parreirinha and when Lusito's on)

I love Thaba, haven't ridden for 3 weeks and could feel it yesterday the bit of riding I did, before my gears gave me head aches... If all good will make a turn tomorrow again.
