Yes they are stupidly sharp and cut like crazy ! In the past I battled to properly sharpen them. I Only had two serrated blades and they didn't get used much after they went dull because I couldn't get them lekke sharp again. I Did some research and found the right tool for the job. It took me a while and a whole lot of elbow grease to get the technique mastered. Well worth the effort because I can now sharpen them to look and cut like new.

A friend of mine Trevor who lives down on the South Coast, his family have been knife makers for decades... the most beautiful custom work I've ever seen (I'm no fundi though).
Always incredible to watch them work and follow the journey of a knife through their workshop.

His brother and his old man also specialize in sword canes which is also something truly unique and impressive.

Certainly not cheap, but a thing of beauty even for someone like me that's not too interested in these sort of things.

I happen to own one of their canes - very basic one. Was lucky enough to buy it of a guy who needed money...

Didn't even know they made knives. Their craftsmanship is exquisite.

I'm not a fan of their knives (well in all honesty I haven't seen one in the last few years but last I held one I didn't have any draw to it), but DAMN their canes are nice!!!

I have lusted after a sword cane for many many years, I just cannot justify carrying one at the age of 28  . Oh how I wish I lived in the thirties where bespoke suits, top hats and canes were daily attire...

I'm getting to the age when it would be acceptable for me to carry the cane around...

My mother walks with a walking stick, and I considered a sword cane for her for Christmas, mostly because I want one so badly.

I Use a Lansky and can sharpen plain edge blades to a much better level than new from the factory. It doesn't work good at all on serrated blades. Because of the arc that the stone moves over the length of the blade, you are hitting the middle part of the serrations straight and getting them quite sharp but the further you move away from the center, you start honing them skew from the middle part and screwing them up. I Saw a couple of videos of people using a Spyderco Sharpmaker and getting very good results. So that's what I bought and using now. It's quite tricky in the beginning with a lot of trial and error but once you get it down the results are very impressive. I Use the taper diamond rod to file or repair a serration if it got nicked or damaged in some way. The knife in the picture is my oldest Spyderco bought back in '95. I Couldn't get it proper sharp in 20 years and it looked like s#!t from all the trying. Looks pretty neat now and cuts like hell !
