mine (without tool bag, water bottles, my huge ass) = 13.8kg

dual sus 29er 120mm travel....

sheesh! that's pretty heavy. Must be those wrong-sized wheels!

My 160mm AM bike (including a reverb, but excluding saddle bag cos they're spaz) comes in at only a tad over that!

:P

Why do you guys weight without tools and pumps? Do you ride with out it?

Weighed mine with all tools, spare tube, pump etc. ready to ride

I suppose some guys take loads of gear with ... so baseline riding weight is a bit more comparable .. but you're right riding weight is a whole new topic i just tried the go to the toilet theory where guys claim to save 500grams ... but it didnt show on the bathroom scale ha ha ha ...

Heavier bike = better fitness :D

I don't agree. IMO, all a heavier bike does is make you slower.

Oh, TallboyC with XTR. About 11kg.

Do the deed in a cup while on the scale & once you're done put the cup down & see f the scale is showing any difference.

ss is just under 8,5kg, the new wheels should take it to 8.0. 29er custom build.

The geared bike, 8.7kg,self built Cannondale flash 29er, thats in full race mode, training wheels put her at 9.4, but its way more comfy.

Pics please.
