"the truth" - an interesting term...

What truth are you looking for? A full confession from Lance? Will that make us feel better? Will that help cycling become cleaner? Me - I don't think it matters. Cheating in cycling went from taking trains to cocaine to pot belge to blood doping to EPO with loads of fun chemicals along the way. There is no "Lance era" there is only a "Lance Chapter" in the 100 year era of cheating in cycling.

I'm not trying to be a dick - just trying to understand what people are hoping to achieve from the "witch hunt".

Ja, taking trains, attacking the bunch and then hiding behind a rock to jump on the back of the chase, la bomba, booze and cheap speed that ended with you lying dead at the bottom of mont ventoux - it's all moved on a bit since then. Nowadays the dead guys lie in their hotel beds and nobody asks questions about how that came to be. Shall we let it lie and watch the sanitised, scheduled version of the event or try to do something about it now while we have the mandate and the public support?

I really think you should re-evaluate your stance here. This woman stood up for the truth before anyone else had the balls to do so, and did so at the risk of inviting exactly this type of judgement.

What I don't get.

Was she threatened with death if she spoke up ?

Why did she carry on with her job as soigneur when she clearly didn't appreciate what she was witnessing ?

I think they all tried very hard to hide all their skeletons in the closet and some only came clean in fear of the fact that it might look like they are as equally involved.

Something tells me this was an era of one happy-go-lucky jolling and whatever was cool, was fine to go.

All and sundry were fully aware of what was going on and what they were involved in.

Agree100%

I also don't understand this Lance thing, why should he now admit? Why not Merckx or Indurain or Contador and many more "Hero's"

If you listen to what many has now said like Jorge last night......Every team he was on had organised doping in it.....Every team. So did Levi state and many more.

Is it only because he made the most money and was the most successful?

What about all the team bosses that made big money out of this sport and the sponsors themselves...everybody made money while the cyclist did what they did and most of the fans knew what was going on.

Is it me or did Tyler look and act like he was stoned or certainly has been on the green stuff for some time?

I agree, maybe he still takes his EPO and has made him slow, the irony!! Nice wife though.

Here's some more reading - http://www.amazon.com/Lanced-shaming-Lance-Armstrong-ebook/dp/B009ZZW7WK/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1352108581&sr=1-1&keywords=lanced%2C+the+shaming+of+lance+armstrong

Lanced, the shaming of Lance Armstrong by David Walsh

Personally I'm tired of all this but I am patiently waiting for Verbruggen & McQuaid to vacate their offices and for a clean out at the UCI. Until that happens it will be more of the same.

I'm the wrong person to ask - I lost my faith in humanit years ago!

I agree we need to beef up the WADAs and USADAs of the world but I think we need to realise that cycling will never be clean - it will always be dirty to some extent. Pro sport is the perfect breeding ground for cheating - the combination of ego and money will make normal human beings do anything for fame and money.

My feeling is that performanc enhancing drugs in cycling is much like recreational drugs in real life - we will always be fighting a losing battle....

Definitely do something about it, but why focus on Lance?

The problem for me here is really if you look at what guys like Jorge said last night. All teams had organized doping and he tried to give the facts to the UCI but they did nothing.

The team bosses and the doctors should be the ones that should be focused on , now everybody just wants to crucify Lance and I don't think that will improve cycling...it will just make the Public feel better about him.

Same thing happened with Puerto, Valverde needs to admit to what he has done.

But still to today nobody wants to know how he got to be a client of Puerto.

I agree, they should all come forward, but failing that the UCI leadership must go down and a fresh start be made at the top. It's not all about Lance. He elevated the game, he didn't invent it.

The biggest mystery of all is how the hell did Hamilton bag such a hot wife?

She was aware of the performance enhancing drugs but mis-understood which performance everyone was referring to !!
