nah not really - nothing extreme like the SSWC at winterton...you will have to stand on your peddles a bit but i cannot think of any hill that you cannot climb on a SS

SS's are made for hills. Then again, so are hiking boots....

You just smile while cruising on your SS

People thazt haven't tried it just don't understand this point - I don't completely understand it either...

The first time I rode my SS I laughed out laugh. All by myself. It was the strangest thing. I still have a few giggles to myself when I SS. Bizarre but cool.

Hilton must have some of the sweetest riding out there - some friends took me around the 30km Karkloof loop last weekend and at the end I almost phoned my boss and rsigned right there and then...awesome, manicured, swoopy, rocky, up'n'down, forresty trails - they have it all and more!

Stop it.

I'm having visions of removals vans, cardboard boxes and having to find a job in PMB....

My sources tell me Hilton is the place to be in June 2013....

Awesome .... but I am only going there for the December 2012 holidays ....

It was nasty. Think the best of Groenkloof, Thaba, Rietvlei, Modders and Mankele all rolled into one then triple distilled into 30km.

Karkloof has a 10, 20 and 30km marked trail starting from the Country Club. You can't get lost.

Hilton and Howick apparently also have wicked trails.

@stretch - indeed. I only sawe Karkloof - if H&H are half as good I'd still ride them everyday...

I have just started this SS thing and really loving it. Its....pure....simple.... and reminds me of my 1st BMX. Feel like a kid again and having way too much fun for someone of my age. I just got a frame, scratched around in the garage, raided the unwanted box at the LBS, forked out R1500 on a new crank, chain, SS conversion kit and tensioner and off I went. Do it, you wont ever regret it......
