Some of the best riding I've ever done is in Swaziland!!

If you set up a base at Mlilwane you can ride til your heart is content - or until you throw up...

Ride up to the fire lookout - it's well worth the climbing...

We are heading to Mlilwane in Easter for a 4 day training camp - Can't wait!!!

Swaziland is MTBing heaven, better adventure riding than anywhere in SA, IMO. Endless tracks, no private land issues, locals don't throw rocks at you ala Lesotho style, big mountains that are still ride-able.

Down side is you need to do a fair bit of homework on Google Earth to maximize the result, or as Velouria suggest, hook up with locals.

This sounds great!! Can everyone just edit their post to remove the words tough and mountains, the pretty one will not appreciate.

Will give give the locals a shout tonight.

Thanks for all the feedback.

I lived in Mbabane 7years ago (for 6 months). Didn't have a car, only an el cheapo Giant Boulder. Used it to get around. One of the best times of my life! Swazi is beautiful (except maybe Manzini  )...

So heck yeah! Taking a bike there is definitely worth it!

Piggs Peak

Maguga Dam Lodge

Hawane Resort

Brett and Leslie are still a good contact as above - they'll be done with the 2018 version of the Frontier in a week or so.
