They have had to get something with the geo really right to drop the travel to 142mm

Its a 9er mos. I like the numbers. They seem sensible. When I saw it I instantly thought to myself. This is a nice change. They should revive some of the sleeping Giants with big travel and small wheels. Maybe a 165mm Reign X and a 180mm Faith.

The 80's called and they want their design ideas back. For some reason looking at the I instantly think of AC/DC, sleeveless denim jackets, boof hair and bad rock... but not in a good way.

How can that list make you have any other emotion than radded out?!?

All those things you just described is the height of fashion in Australia at the moment!

Cant say I'm a massive fan of the look. Its lost its distinctive frame shape. Its also become even less of a bike for SA conditions by the sound of it. More DH than ever, and bearing in mind how my 2018 version feels I can just imagine...

Agree, I think the Stumpjumper will sell well in SA. 140/150mm with pretty slack GEO. Really is all we need.

The gap between trail and enduro is being pushed on again. It use to be that trail bikes had 120/130 and enduro was at 150, but Its moved on to 140/150 and 170mm. These  #Enduro bikes will also be on the shortlist of all the chairlift fans.

The x-wing is still the best looking bike out there, IMO. Pity they had to change it, but I suppose  after ~10 years it's time for something new and fresh. But this new enduro looks a bit meh.

I doubt Spez will even bring this new monster truck into the country.

Trail bikes have now been replaced by so-called 'downcountry'. These 170 - 180 mm bikes are more park bikes as you say. But I don't like that more and more trail bikes (~140 mm) have now been replaced by what used to be enduro/all-mountain 150 - 160 mm bikes, like the Canyon Spectral, Santa cruz bronson and YT Jeffsy. Everything is getting bigger and burlier. I personally don't want to ride a 14 - 15 kg trail bike. Oh well.

Someone on the previous page said these are Fugly @stefmeister But I really like it. Not a big fan of the red and black colourway, but this gray/black looks bad-ass!

I think this think just might have won me over back to the dark side.. I really like the somewhat old-school vibe portrayed here https://enduro-mtb.com/en/first-ride-review-2020-rocky-mountain-slayer-carbon-90/

Kind of like, It doesn't matter what happens at EWS or the rest of the world, there will be people riding gnarly lines in BC all the same.

What makes me feel funny is that the shock doesn't line up with the frame and the shock mount / cross brace doesn't line up to anything either and it makes my OCD alarm start twitching.
