agree....i know a few okes that ones the frame is here...the wieght is well off! But in my mind is not the worst thing hey...somewhat it tells me the build might be better as the only real way youll save is by not adding extra carbon to crucial parts on the frame...ill rather go for good build and a nicer feel on the bike!!

Some guys are more honest than others with weight, and when you add the shock my configurator gives actual weighed weights, not a theoretical "possible if your scale has zero gravity" weight!

Thanks for the reply. Is it essentially the same thing though? Looks like it could be a little different.

I've found two different 29er DS frame types while browsing the chinese interwebs.

This one:

And this one:

Any ideas as to which "mainstream" frame sets these resemble.

The second one is the most commonly found frame and also looks like the one supplied by Booth and the other local importers. Any feedback on the frame depicted in the first pic?

Second one reminds me of a Spez Epic.

So I was mistaken. This is not a Dengfu bike. It is a Shenzhen Honsen bike.

Looks like a jacked up Chinese company.

They have a fat bike listed with carbon rims nogal.

Their DS 29er interests me but doesn't indicat rear suspensions maximum travel or what sort of front travel it is designed for although it has quite a slack head angle.

This is it: http://www.honsenbikes.com/product_list.asp?id=361

@Hairy they have a 650B DS listed and this is it: http://www.honsenbikes.com/product_list.asp?id=373

Here is a write up on it at mtbr: http://forums.mtbr.com/27-5-650b/chinese-carbon-frames-650b-edition-820784-5.html
