Talking about wheels, just got my set of carbons from UAM/Hongfu, cannot wait to put some KM's on them this weekend.  Put Specialised Turbo 25c tires on which look great, and were easy to get on to the rims.

Talking about Wheels, cannot wait to try out my latest addition.

UAM Carbon Clinchers 40mm front and 56mm rear. put on a pair of Specialised Turbo 25c tyres, same as what i am running on my Shamal Ultra wheels.  They went on very easy.

Will be interesting to see how they roll, taking into consideration the wide rim profile.

Very excited and will give an update as soon as I put in a long ride this weekend.

Morning Ride 67km in 10 -15kmh wind conditions.  Wheels felt great with no buffeting.

They felt slightly stiffer than my Shamal's and climbed well, even though slightly heavier.

The main difference I found was that they handled the road surface better with a softer feel over the bumps.

Same tyres on both, and kept the inflation to about 110Psi.

I felt that I had a bit more power reserves at my disposal.

Will keep updating as I go along.

FR-216 with 15mm thru axel, still waiting for china seatpost + handlebar. Donor parts, mostly. Spot the roadie pedals. It's like a dikwiel, riser-bar roadbike.

Any quality difference between these Chinese carbon frames and wheels and the branded ones?

Wont mind a set of lighter carbon wheels at a cheaper price for my road bike but don't want to risk them collapsing on me.

Currently have the factory standard "Merida super Aero 38" on my bike. No idea of their weight. Could not get a review anywhere.
