Someone is going to come up with something that works and looks cool very soon. The market is too big to be ignored. All it would really take is a few more vents in existing DH lids. AFAIK the MET Parachute had a problem with the chin guard breaking off and possibly causing more problems than they stop. This one might be the same. Still going to be rolling with a good old XC helmet for a while, and normal XC shoes. Depending on the frame of your glasses, I have found that most goggles can be worn over them. As for optical inserts, the Adidas iD2s come with that option, but they're not cheap (about R1800 without inserts). Honestly though... contact lenses.
