Hmmm, so if I had a Flow on there (rather than a Crest) your guess would've been a beer bottle opener I take it!?

I have a crest on the front - been waiting for it to break but after 5/6 years its still going strong. I've destroyed the rear a few times - and now have an Arch on there, but the front soldiers on.

Haha, exact same here...already an Arch on the back and still taking a beating. The addition of the plush Pike is probably going to make that front rim last even longer. Oh well, might as well enjoy the feather weight as long as it lasts. Oops, was that a bit XC of me?

dude that is so sweet...what zesty is it?

It's a 2014 Zesty 327 frame, but other than the seat I dont think anything else is left from the standard bike. Fork, wheels, drivetrain etc were all upgraded or transferred across from other bikes.

^^^that welding work looks super neat.

Wish other manufacturers could follow suit.

I recall my dad's Cannondale (early 90s model) had flawless welding seams. That was sexy AF.

How do you find that chain device... and where did u get it from?

To be honest you'll never really know if its working until you take it off and drop  a chain.

That being said, It is very nice to have it there for just incase, I have had a few chains drop in the past.

It is super light and if the chain does run on it there are rubber "sliders" so it is quiet. Its really just for the rough sections but its worth it.

D.E.T Concepts brought some of the Gamut products in for the Cycle fair last year, they are the official importers. This is one of the demo guides, I'm not sure when they will be bringing in more stock.

I know this is not the ideal place to post this question... but I like the response from the guys in this thread.

So my x9 type 2 medium cage (red) pulleys are worn... I think that is what is generating a mid duk-duk-duk sound when pedalling under the slightest strain.

I suffered to chain derailing the pulleys this weekend too... on the freakn stages!

Anyways, a chain guide now and trying to figure out what to do with my deraileur. Do I get a new Xo and would there be a difference? Or do I just get new pulleys at 350 for my x9 type 2.0?

Just do the pulleys, dude. Unless there's something catastrophically wrong with your current one, and it's loose as a Main Road "woman of leisure"

It does have some play... but I think that is okay? Also I think my box is skew.. can I manually fix this?

I think a gynae may be in order there, mate...

JK. Some play as in play in the pivots? Shouldn't have any. Maybe it's time for a new one...

Play in the pivot that links the red housing (on top) to the black spring housing (at the bottom)..

Dunno if that makes sense...

Play in those pivots mean the RD is on its way out. The duk duk duk could be from the RD not shifting to exactly the position it should ( because of play) and this causing interference between chain and shift ramps. It can also be worn RD pulleys. If the pulleys are getting derailed then this also a sign of worn teeth and pulley bearings
