and in other news... kinda tour related: 33 yr old schleck-sista Frank has been dropped like a hot coal by the old Leopard and the new Trek.

"With the end of Fränk Schleck's suspension approaching, Leopard and it's partners have assessed the situation in view of a possible renewal of the collaboration with Fränk Schleck. Leopard has decided to not renew the collaboration between Fränk Schleck."

"Leopard wishes Fränk Schleck a successful continuation of his career."

Ouch, and Jens just keeps going. Wonder what's next for (m)andy?

MEDICAL REPORT

Joaquim Rodriguez (Katusha)

Fall: Dermabrasion of the left forearm and left hip (local treatment).

Joaquim Rodriguez, no major injuries: "I hurt all over"

:) - "I hurt all over", typical Rodriguez, another one of the "no drama" riders, just does what he can and moves along, I have high hopes for him.

Hmm, looks like the end for Frank, maybe he will get into a small team somewhere but it looks like the glory days are over..........sad to go out like that, but he has only himself to blame.

Cav not happy.

Cavendish hates to lose, and his anger was all too evident on Thursday as a crash 34km from the finish left him playing catch-up with the peloton, seriously hampering his chances of a second consecutive stage win.

When he got back to the Omega Pharma team bus at the end of the stage, Cavendish was livid and, as a scrum of journalists gathered outside, the Manxman’s screaming could clearly be heard.

“I don’t want to use this ******* bike! What the **** is wrong this bike!” he said, furious at seeing his chance of a second consecutive stage win pass him by. Cavendish started the stage on a limited edition Specialized Venge outfitted with brand new SRAM HydroR hydraulic rim brakes and Zipp wheels.

It was around half an hour later before he emerged to face the media, although the official race medical report stated that he was being tended to by the team doctor for minor injuries suffered during his fall.

“I was going around a roundabout and it was very tight,” Cavendish said calmly. “My front wheel went, but I didn’t necessarily lose the sprint because of that.

Cavendish said the chase was a factor in missing victory, but said Greipel was at his best on Thursday.

Cav not happy.

Wasn't impressed that the DS didn't ask some of his team mates to drop back to ride him back into the peleton... seemed an odd call, but seeing the way he loses his temper over teammates, bikes and leadership calls, if I was his DS my attitude would probably be pretty much the same... "You're the star, you fix it!"

Apparently their radios were not working, something about a stuck button only noise on the headsets but that is no excuse for bad behavior- the guy is living the dream of millions, and when things don't go his way he gooies his toys - the word brat springs to mind.

he might want to look at the other teams, who's wearing the yellow and green, and realise they having success and not acting like kids when not, it might be a matter of time before his team decide as great as he is, there are others just as great, or close enough and a lot easier to work with.

They did not show Cav's crash on eurosport but they did spend a lot of time following him and he was riding like a demon taking a few big risks particular at the one traffic circle where he bunny hopped onto the circle so he could overtake the slower moving team cars, hats off to him for catching up and I can well believe he should be a bit pissed off but with the team decision not to help him back.

Maybe the DS new he would make it back and would be a good "warm up" for the sprint, after all he did nearly pull it off.

Not a good move to criticize a sponsors bike tho, even if it was behind closed doors seems like people heard it...

ye, the team not helping him, that between him and management,

but him critting the bike, now that causes poo poo, team runs on sponsor money, bike mfg'er won't like comments like that.
