Anybody else into Flight Simulation..?

This is where it started for me...

I din't do the flight sims so much. Closest was Strike Commander, which we got with our Sound-Blaster/CD-Rom.

 

I remember the salesman asking my dad why he was going for the 4xspeed, because it was so much more expensive than the 2x, and 2x was enough.

As for the speed of the drive, it makes me think of my first 1GB drive and saying, "How can anybody fill this up..?"

The first PC game I remember playing was some side scrolling helicopter game in computer class at school. Black screen, yellow helicopter.

 

Reminds of the first Leisure Suit Larry I saw someone playing.

 

When I saw Commander Keen on a mates PC, I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread.

We used to LAN Quake 3, Unreal Tournament, Medal of Honor and Call of Duty (the original. Before magic healing). I still love the opening tune of Medal of honor, I'd just sit in the main menu for a while before playing.

 

Got into gaming with whatever ran on our XT. Can't even remember the games... Alley Cat, some 4x4 game where you could bump into rocks to flip over mud, Montezuma's Revenge, Dig Dug. Possibly Bubble Bobble.

 

My first console was PS3 though, so I've missed out on a HUGE number of games.

 

Best PS game ever was Abe's Oddysee. You can get it now from some online game site for old games for a few bucks.

Love it. As with all MMOGs, the lower ELO games are littered with seal clubbers or smurfs. But I love the technical nature of the game.
