Kudos for him attempting it. There is no other way to learn.

Any of the DH/AM crew available to tell us what went wrong?

He seemed to hit the jump at a fairly proper speed...incorrect brake intervention in the air? A posture issue perhaps?

All told, he is a proper MTBer in my book. A speedy recovery.

I think he "rode off the lip" instead of jumping it. Almost like he intended to stay down instead of flying. Didn't preload or pop off just road over it.

Respect for trying though, that's a fair size jump on an XC hardtail. As LanceB says, only way we learn.

stayed seat. pretty much dead sailor, He essentially squashed the jump without moving his weight back to counter act the nose dropping. the rest was pretty much par for the course.

But lance is right: props for giving it a go. Got spunk, will learn. Heal up rider and crush it next time.

To those saying its the only way to learn... Not quite... You need to walk before you run.

Rider was simply too far forward and way to rigid. He hit the jump hoping speed would carry him over. Weight back and a bit of a lift would have made a massive difference. Saddle was also too high but not too much to be done about that.

Start small people and make your way to bigger jumps gradually.
