Heard about this incident...quite sad. Wish him and his family all the best.

I'm new to this whole mtb thing (2months now)...went to Tokai for the first time yesterday. And the first time i did single tracks...in the hour i was there, i had a few close calls where i could have gotten hurt. Just made me realize it can get quite dangerous. :excl:

Scotty, don't let this put you off. This crash was a lot more extreme than you are likely to have riding ordinary single track. It happened on the downhill course, on a big jump, at speed. It was not your average crash.

holding thumbs.

when I left before 10 I saw a whole group of riders, it looked like a family outing with fathers and son's, 'very young and old' on vasbyt. they seem to be gearing up at the time. was the gentleman part of this group?

Word from riders brother, he was operated om today, he claims very rare case he's vertebrae had twisted or crossed. He will let us know when we can visit.

Family still shocked. Shame thoughts and prayers to them too

Gents, reading the thread again. The posts of the updates this morning seems different from what I'm being told.

I've now just heard that there were 2 falls at Tokai were riders have possibilities of be paralized in the lower limbs.

Can anyone clear this up? Is this the case. If so it doesn't change the fact we wish these a speedy recovery and ease thru their healing process.
