My Wife walked in to Cajees a couple of weeks back just wanting to buy a bike to ride around the neighbourhood with the kids. Found a bike for R1700.00 she made the mistake of saying "that is quit cheap I thought it will be about R2500" 5 minuts later the sales KID said the price is actually R2500 and not R1700. She turned around and walked strait out.

So stay away from Cajees.

You may as well just ask what the meaning of life is...

That one is easier to answer!

No ONE shop is the cheapest for all items. No ONE shop stocks everythong I want. So you have to shop around.

Here are some good places to start

Online

Those are just a few (all reliable)...

then in JHB shop around the following

  • Solomons (woodmead)
  • Cajees (All over, but you gotta know what you want. what it's worth. and be willing to bargain for it, or they'll rob you blind)
  • Linden Cycles (Linden)
  • Mikes Bikes (Greenside)

Hells, I'm not going to list them all here, there are a gazillion bike shops in JHB. As I said, no ONE shop will be cheapest on everything, so shop around!

hey, your underwear preferences are your business - no need to advertise on the hub....

lycra... thong... there's a difference?

NEITHER should be worn (by men) in public without some other form of shorts/pants covering them.

So the chances of getting a bike cheaper online is highly unlikely...

Okay next question. Has anyone bought a bike abroad and brought it back as carry on luggage?

I bought a Cube for R9k from CRC. R1k was shipping and duties etc R3k. As posted above it attracted quite a heavy duty but was still R4k less than retail from a bike shop.

Or if you're Peach, you take a full DH bike with you to the alps. It gets stolen. And you end up filling your bike box with FiveTens and smuggling them across customs
