He lied about his doping and cheated during his entire career and when he saw the opportunity to make a quick buck by spilling the beans on his more famous teammate, he grabbed it with both hands.

 

He comes out smelling like roses because he confessed his sins first and makes a bundle by writing a book about how he stuck a needle in his arm so many times he developed permanent scars (http://sports.yahoo....-161516246.html).

He's definitely playing a role, just like he was playing a role during his entire career. I mean, what a brilliant actor to lie to everyone around you for so many years.

hmmm, so I downloaded a pirated version of his book last night. He's welcome to come collect royalties personally.

 

I think he might be one of the good guys who got turned to the dark side, BUT my forgiveness is much harder to gain. he lied when he got bust, denied denied denied..only came clean once he was retired, had nothing to lose and would be commiting fraud if he lied.

 

whilst he's a victim of the system, and probably has got a lot to offer...i still think it's hard to have him as a hero.

I am a bit disappointed that Discovery is associating with Tyler. I think TH was opportunistic in his "coming clean" his back was against the wall and he took a way out that allowed him to make some serious cash in the process. Bottom line, this guy is a liar and a cheat, did some profoundly unhealthy things and now gets on the Discovery gravy train. I agree with someone earlier Discovery should have rather brought out an untarnished new generation rider

If they keep quiet they are supporting doping and are lying cheats. If they talk about doping and get it out in the open they are back stabbing scum cheating on there friends and are still lying cheats.

So many high horses, you'd swear The Hub was the Moral Capital of the internet.

 

I'd rather have Tyler telling his story so that we can question, recognise and prevent it happening again in the sport that we love. He's part of the solution along with teams like Garmin, while Lance has done nothing to move the sport forward, and teams like Sky remind us of the recent dark past.

 

My dream is to be able to watch a bike race and not have my suspicions raised, and hope that we never have another Michael van Staden situation.

If Tyler had donated to a charity all of the money he made from his book and sessions like this, then your comment would be extremely valid. Sadly there is a difference between asking for forgiveness and making millions while forgiving yourself.

Bought his book, liked it but won't spend any more money on him. What will his talk be about? How Lance bullied him into doping? What is the best way to dope? How sorry he is and that it is totally wrong and nobody should do it?
