Got baclk last night after doing the trail and am feeling very depressed today. Would much rather be sleeping in a tent and walking for breakfast and listening to other people snore and be able to ride again than have to be home in my own bed and also have to work today.

A friend also did the Trail, he's staying on till Saturday, soaking in the vibe, see the adventure and race guys finish.

Def adding this right to the top of my have to do bucket list, now to figure out how to get a entry for next year.

With u Ramrod - although I took a tumble yesterday so my roasties would protest. Driving back to Joeys today and luckily only having to tackle the CT drive in a few days. Had a great ride. Good weather, dry trails - which made for some interesting descending at speed in some places. Luckily the fall was at 10kms to the end so could limp home ok. Lots of people battled on the bridge in the wind in the later arvie. Glad it wasn't in the ocean this time cos the tide was in.

The organization was top notch once again- the food fantastic. My only real gripe was that at Jolivet the ladies had only 5 or 6 toilets. Double the amount of showers as last year but we still queued 10 deep for the bogs.

A bit hesitant on the navigation thing for next year - half the time I couldn't see my Garmin Screen so knowing me I would get lost. But I think come september I would be hard pressed to say no :)

Pic just after the finish - the damage is well concealed but goes to show how tough Lycra is and thanx to Anatomic they can repair the damage with out me having to replace the entire bib. :)

Hey I just had a look at the Race results after day 1.. I see Bianca Haw and her mixed partner Tyron Bird came in 32e overall - but I see they are riding as "unofficial".. odd... why would that be.. ???

Any case, I have been following her results, she did a couple XCO races in Italy and got some very very good results.. that girl is going places..

Probably because Yankee doesn't have to pay thanks to her family ties... Doesn't let them count as "official?" Ty was only organising to ride with her after JHB2C and entries were long closed by then.

Yeah the support everyone gave my wife on the trail was outstanding!! They could see she was suffering with her knee and everyone just had encouraging words for her!
