jmaccelari Posted July 31, 2013 Share Geez. OK - so I rode a single speed in real anger for the first time today! Wow! I see what guys mean when they say it's cycling at its core. Not having to shift up, down, worry about what gear you're in, shift to the correct gear, check it shifted, where am I now? .... Awesome. And it gives one hell of a workout... "Stevens" Posted August 7, 2013 Share What I did with my old bike lying around and giving my wife a reason to moan.Running 49 x 16t gearing. I need it to keep up with the fast groups, but even so I spin my little legs off when the pace gets really hot.Its great fun and although I would love the look of my bike, a better frame is just a matter of time. Yes, really enjoy this bike, haven't been on my geared bike for over two months. Made training this winter fun. All the old training routes became new challenges on the s/speed. Did my first training ride to Franschhoek last Friday and it was awesome.
danthunders Posted August 22, 2013 Share Hey guys My Alan is finished. Let me know what you think? Next project is to use an old step through road frame and build my wife a single speed. Then to build another fixed gear road bike so I can convert the Alan back into a track bike. Hairy, Flatdog7, Stefan Cremer and 1 other
