Skott5 Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 So similar but different .. Is pulling a wheelie clipped in a real wheelie ? And what is a real wheelie ? More than two crank turns ? - at least 10 meters ?
Wonder Woman Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 I prefer pronk. (Not that my opinion means anything but still)
ChUkKy Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Or the Australian kiss. Same like the french but down under DR ◣◢ 1
rouxtjie Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 I prefer pronk. (Not that my opinion means anything but still)yip, sticking with it...but practise the bunny hop, definitely more handy on the trail than a pronk....also being able to do a propper bunny hop will unlock other skills like a manual so its 2 for the price of one...
Tumbleweed Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Too true, that's probably why I can't do half the stuff others can, I've made it so far without and do pretty well I think. Some people have lots of time on their hands, bwahahaha. I can climb pavements at least And you pulled off the most amazing faceplant! Your technique is far, far superior to anything I have ever seen!
mikethebike234 Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 If your wheels are big enough you don't need to bunnyhop over anything. Not sure what all the fuss is about.aaaannndd you posted that at 8......29..lol
Peach. Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 So similar but different .. Is pulling a wheelie clipped in a real wheelie ? And what is a real wheelie ? More than two crank turns ? - at least 10 meters ? makes no difference because you don't need your pedals to get the front up I would say if you can control it, doesn't matter how long but not just a pull up and drop it. I have a home made high jump bar, when are the hubbers having a hop-off?
RocknRolla Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 do you call it a pronkertjie, if your seat hits you in the australian area while practising to pronk?
rouxtjie Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 do you call it a pronkertjie, if your seat hits you in the australian area while practising to pronk?mmmmm good question? if your seat hits your jewels, you are pronking wrong...don't slouch when pronking, stand proud RocknRolla 1
Tumbleweed Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 do you call it a pronkertjie, if your seat hits you in the australian area while practising to pronk? So that's what a map of Tazzie is! rouxtjie 1
Wonder Woman Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 And you pulled off the most amazing faceplant! Your technique is far, far superior to anything I have ever seen! Bwahahahaha, forgotten about that. Man, the headache I had that day...In my defence that was like my first mtb ride ever. At least the sand was soft, could have ended up a lot worse
RocknRolla Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 mmmmm good question? if your seat hits your jewels, you are pronking wrong...don't slouch when pronking, stand proud sorry, i forget, the guys with the big cojones all have dropper posts, thus they will never have pronkertjies...my technique and cojones clearly lacking... rouxtjie 1
G00SE Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 sorry, i forget, the guys with the big cojones all have dropper posts, thus they will never have pronkertjies...my technique and cojones clearly lacking... Exactly, having a dropper does make bunny hopping easier with that annoying saddle out the way, but I also see potential for the dropper to take pronking to new heights too rouxtjie and Mountain Bru 2
Brian Fantana Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 There we go, he explains both techniques very well...even though he is missing some tooofs Haha, have you seen how many extremely skilled mountain bike riders lack some dental "finesse"? Nico Vink is a good example as well:
