it was a true MTB event - loved the thecnicals bits u dont realize how quick your arms start to hurt when you are on the brakes , almost need a brake thats is closer so you dont have to keep your fingers so far open .

very good event that last uphill after the church took allot of convincing to keep going.

I really enjoyed the half today. The 10 minute batch separations seems to have done the trick, I had absolutely no traffic. My only problem was the heat, I didn't expect it to get that hot on the concrete strips. But definitely the best of the trailseekers by far this year. See you all again next year

First VG, enjoyed the 1/2. Walked most if the hills due to traffic from E, but to be fair even if I was alone there I wouldn't be good enough to cycle it all. Couple of unnecessary stops on single tracks where people walked where I think cycling was reasonable, but I was there as well 2 years ago so not complaining. I must just do better and earn a better seeding!

So now the 70 next year but first Hakahana ...

Great ride today organisers, batches worked fantastic. It was just too damn "hot".

Oh and one gripe, please stock the water points better, they where dry (jungle juice and stuff, there was water) by the time we got there.

Holy smokes, the heat almost killed me. There was a little cafe at about 22km, that ice cold coke saved me lol. 2km later the water point showed up,swamped with riders. Other than the heat, was fun ride, i was doing it with flats and trail running shoes, the walks were much easier than my usual cleats setup hehe.

Congestion seemed to have been sorted with the 10 mins intervals, however it meant i only started at like 9:30. So i was out there when the sun was seriously making me grumpy. Loved the long reeds path at the end (partially due to it blocking out the sun)

in cow suit for choc out.

How in the sweet name of all that is holy do you guys survive in those suits?

I loved the D batch, did as well as I hoped, was a hard day out. I walked the first part of the concrete strip, then got back on and pedaleed the last stretch. Pity no-one in front of me noticed so I couldn't get past (even though I asked) but hey, at least I went past when they stopped to mount up again. Didn't see them again after that :)

I managed to finish the marathon in 5:14 which would put me in personal record position, pushed myself effing hard thought I was going to die at the end spectrum sport scanned my timing board but I got a DNF... very ***!
