Neils Wheels - Petition

Neil may be right, but what decent human would knowingly fleece a desperate person. Just shows what type of person he is. The fact that he sent a gloating sms shows that he felt good about what he did.

Let this be another lesson for anyone wanting to deal with him

I don't know NW from slime, but I've read lots of the posts. Good luck in resolving this, I'd tend to agree that you play hardball, little to lose now.

Another perfect Hubber right here, never been desperate in his life.

I never said he must get his bike back yes he did a stupid deal but you don't know what his circumstances are so think before judging the situation Mr perfect

In court a magistrate once said to me ignorance does not make you except from the law,,,,, desperate neither

I don't think the guy's gonna have luck going the legal route. If he wanted to "legally" pawn it or make a loan, he could have done it right next door at Cash Converters. They're literally next door to NW, and I think they do these sort of arrangements.

Why does this type of thing always happen in slaapstad .You capies live on too much credit !

Cape Town is mos the Tik Capital of SA!

but seriously... Did Neil charge the guy interest? Go and try to borrow from any other micro lender and you would get ripped a new one with interest that they'll charge for 3 months.

Your friend has only himself to blame.

He messed up (k@k planning on his part), and had to pay the school fees.

Your misguided petition is pathetic.

Just find somewhere where you can get legal assistance and find out what the best course to follow is - I can't imagine Neil can legally provide loans to people without any form of contract or terms in place. I agree your friend was not the brightest to default on repaying the money, but surprised that he can just claim ownership for something of a greater value than the actual loan amount.

What is the guy doing with an R18k bicycle (that he obviously doesn't need for transport!) if he is this desperate to get R7.5k in cash? That part just doesn't seem to make sense at all...

Just to clarify, I do have a serious personal dislike of Neil and his dodgy dealings and strongly believe he should have been behind bars many years ago.

It is a very sticky unfortunate situation but it can be sorted out! I am sure the consumer protection act has something in it that can help this guy pay NW his money and then get his bike back! Come on hubbers there must be someone out there that knows the legalities to help remedy this situation! This is a fellow cyclists who has made a mistake, surely we can't let him suffer so badly by losing his bike!
