Cannondale Flash Alu 29r frame - 'normal' shock ....

asking for a 'friend'

'he' would like to replace a Merida frame he is using as an SSR (29r) with a Cannondale Flash

Now the only question would be, is it easy to fit a 'normal fork' as in not a Lefty? is a special headset needed?

If its a normal 1.5" to 1 1/8" steerer shock, its easy. I have reducer in my bike, nothing fancy about it, also not very expensive. Start from around R300 up to wherever expensive headsets, like ChrisKing go.

Apparently it's not 'normal' but something specific to Cannondale (may have read 1.56 somewhere) ...... my first attempt at using a 'dale frame but I think I'll just abandon this stoopid idea :(

Stoopid question :) - why not just use a Lefty?

A Flash without a Lefty is like the Currie Cup without the Sharks - just does not work !!

Aah - good old economics, has bitten me a couple of times.

You need to make a plan NotsoBB - the Flash is too good a Frame to overlook.

The OD of the Cannondale headset bearings is 2" on the spot (or 50.8mm)

Perhaps measure what's out?

What also might be the problem is that adapter might be for frames that use cups - not frames into which the bearings press directly, which I think is most recent Flash/Scalpel frames

If the adapter ain't right, happy to refund.
